This
page is for stuff other than writing: things that interest
me, the odd things of life and the universe. Hopefully, the
subject matter here will spread into the interactive aspect
of the kozmikfish blog.
Things
like how the universe works, how pioneering science is now
beginning to see the world the way spiritual traditions have
done so for thousands of years. How the Enlightment world
of Descartes and Newton could have been, at the best, so limited
and, at the worst, totally wrong.
Heavy
stuff, but it won't all be serious, we'll be chasing down
answers to less crucial problems like:
Why
do your ears pop when a passenger jet gains altitude? Now
I'm not, totally, ignorent about flying, it's the lower
air pressure as you go higher, right? But, in a passenger
jet you're in a pressurized cabin, the atmosphere inside
kept at around ground level pressure? So why do you ears
pop?
And
why are snow flakes bigger than raindrops? Has it something
to do with the fact that the gaps between snowdrops seems
to be bigger than between raindrops?
mmmmm,
it's not going to change the world, but suggestions to the
blog!
